And Why
Four organisations, working across health records, credit data, exam preparation and community development. Each one is an attempt to make something that is hard to reach a little easier to get to.
MyMedikoz
MyMedikoz is a patient-centric digital health platform enhancing medical record accessibility and interoperability. It enables patients, providers, insurers, and researchers to securely store, access, and share medical information ensuring seamless data flow, reduced errors, and better continuity of care.
With AI-driven insights, mobile access, and real-time data sharing, MyMedikoz empowers individuals to manage their health while supporting healthcare professionals with accurate, up-to-date information.
gnuGrid CRB
gnuGrid CRB is the first and only indigenous credit reference bureau in Uganda, licensed by the Bank of Uganda in November 2021. It collects and validates credit and transactional data on borrowers, then turns it into credit reports and scores that lenders use to make informed decisions.
As a Non-Executive Director I provide governance, strategic oversight and advisory support, with a particular interest in how better credit data widens financial inclusion for people and businesses that formal lending has historically passed over.
Gradezup
Gradezup improves access to education so that African students can excel in the exams that decide their futures. It puts structured revision, past papers and practice within reach of learners who would otherwise depend on whichever materials happened to be available in their school.
Exam performance is one of the few points where a single outcome reshapes a young person's options entirely. Gradezup exists because that outcome should turn on effort rather than on postcode or school budget.
Tender Mercies
Tender Mercies is a Kampala-based NGO that has spent more than three decades empowering children and communities through education and holistic development. Its work spans education sponsorship, vocational training, health initiatives and psychosocial support, delivered through a set of interconnected programmes rather than one-off interventions.
It matters to me because it operates on the same conviction the rest of my work does: that talent is evenly distributed across this continent and opportunity is not, and that closing the gap is something you build rather than something you wait for.
